St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center: Pavilion Bed Expansion

The SEMC Connell Pavilion building had an existing shell space adjacent to the 10 bed ICU expansion project. It was the intent under this business plan to increase Med/Surg bed capacity. The current ICU bed capacity, including those under construction, stood at 38 ICU beds. With the completion of the proposed 16 bed Med/Surg project, the capacity increased to 165 licensed Med/Surg beds. The additional bed capacity for the Med/Surg unit allows the SEMC organization to better serve the patient population of the surrounding communities
