DALLAS — Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star announced the additions of Bob Gendron of Dallas and Lauren Peschier of The Woodlands as new members of their governing Executive Board. Both Bob and Lauren will bring valued input, leadership, and perspective to an already well established and diverse Executive Board.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome two capable new members to our diverse group of caring and thoughtful leaders on our Executive Board. We are excited to have Bob and Lauren and I know they will both be a value add as we strategically impact thousands of Texas kids with safe and positive mentoring relationships that defend the potential of our youth,” says Rob Bowlby, Chairman of the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star
Bob Gendron is the Founder and CEO of Cref, a global corporate real estate and facilities management firm that partners with the world’s leading operators to provide long-term, integrated solutions that help solve the complex challenges of regulated real estate. Bob has a long-standing reputation of supporting and serving organizations helping youth, and BBBS looks forward to his devoted work to benefit mentorship and defend the potential of our youth at Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.
“As a father of four who has had the privilege of working with youth-focused organizations in Texas and beyond, I understand the importance of mentorship in the life of a child—both for their social emotional wellness today and for their lifelong success and independence,” said Gendron. “At Cref, we care deeply about giving back to the communities in which we work and serve, and I’m honored to help do that with an organization as important and impactful as Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.”
Lauren Peschier, Vice President of Geology at Arena Energy, has been with Arena Energy since 2014 and has significant experience in the field of onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration. Before Arena, she had a well-established career within the Houston energy industry. Lauren has importantly been a force for good in the growing partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star and Arena Energy in the Beyond School Walls program and will be a great liaison and voice for the BBBS mission.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star is the largest BBBS affiliate agency in the country in terms of youth served annually through one-to-one mentoring relationships, and the Executive Board is critical at driving resources and partnerships that fuel our outcomes-achieving mission to impact more kids across Texas. Bob and Lauren both bring a passion for positively impacting youth in our region and have unique life experiences that will be valuable to our Executive Board and the healthy governance of our organization overall. We are excited to have them on the Board!” – Pierce Bush, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star.
