As Executive Vice President, Chief Real Estate Officer, Michael is a passionate advocate for reimagining how real estate is experienced and is a driving force behind CREF’s success. For nearly three decades, he has delivered sustainable real estate solutions in support of business strategy for leading-edge organizations with a focus on healthcare. As Chief Real Estate Officer, he leads the investment strategy for CREF and is responsible for acquisition, development, asset management and property management of company-sponsored projects across its domestic and international operations.
Michael provides executive level strategic oversight and guidance to CREF clients including the largest private, physician-led health care network across the U.S. and beyond, where CREF is responsible for a $3 billion world-wide real estate portfolio of over 20-million square feet of hospitals and 900+ ambulatory care locations.
Prior to joining CREF, Michael served in executive leadership roles at private, for-profit, and not-for-profit, and public organizations that span the continuum of health care environments including healthcare technology, commercial real estate development, large urban academic medical centers, regional community medical centers and state-of-the art senior living communities.
Michael holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from New England Law.
